Natalie Dawe, Managing Director

Natalie Dawe's mission is to help organizations identify and execute on their values and purpose, in order to create a more equitable world. She is energized by investigating systems and individuals’ needs, and bringing together diverse groups and assets to create products, programs and collaborations for social impact.

Prior to joining Starling, Natalie led the global health portfolio for IBM Corporate Social Responsibility. She created a new model of social impact, and managed the development of digital apps and programs to address cancer disparities in Sub-Saharan Africa. In her time at IBM, she also brokered the formation of Allied Against Cancer, an alliance of the American Cancer Society, Clinton Health Access Initiative, National Comprehensive Cancer Network, IBM, and the African Cancer Coalition, which has empowered cancer leaders across 13 African countries to improve cancer care delivery.

Natalie also built a portfolio of partnerships for IBM with Duke Health, Taiwan Centers for Disease Control, University of Utah, CARE USA, Partners in Health, and Gorgas Memorial Institute (Panama) to incubate ideas on how human-centered design, technology, and data could transform public health issues.

Prior to IBM, Natalie worked as a health care consultant and researcher with The Advisory Board Company in Washington, DC. Natalie holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, where she studied the history and ethics of public health, and a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University. She is a proud AmeriCorps*VISTA alumna. She lives in New York City with her husband and son.
